At HEI, we are on a mission to provide high-quality early childhood education to as many children and families around the world as possible. Following a child centric, play-based learning approach based on Finland’s early education curriculum, we want to demonstrate that learning is fun, and that it’s not just us saying it, but based on research. Supporting the UAE’s “We the UAE” advanced and integrated social empowerment model, HEI UAE Early Learning Centres aims to unleash the potential of young learners by leveraging an education system that instils moral values and enriches knowledge throughout all life stages. As the latest addition to Finland’s renowned HEI Schools global network, we incorporate a research-based, holistic approach that not only enriches the Early Childhood Education ecosystem in the UAE, but also promises to yield positive effects on the broader society and contribute to the development of the nation’s future leaders.

HEI (Helsinki International Schools) is an award-winning early learning centre concept that brings the excellence of Finland’s early childhood education to centres across the world, and it’s now expanding Finnish curriculum programs to the UAE!
HEI Schools is founded in partnership with the University of Helsinki
The Finnish Education model has been rigorously tested for decades with outstanding learning results. It combines the best and latest learning philosophies, models, and practices to meet the highest standards in education. At HEI Schools, we adapt its holistic approach, emphasizing on a child’s perspective without compromising academic results.
As our co-founder, the education experts at the University of Helsinki are a part of our daily working team, together, we constantly strive to research, plan, and innovate for a successful implementation of the Finnish early education system. This is done through a carefully designed plan by providing purposeful play, nurturing guidance from highly-trained teachers, as well as the opportunity to adopt learning as a natural process shaped by one’s interests, all in due time. In this way, learning can happen everywhere, all the time.

HEI Spaces
HEI Creative Learning Spaces are designed to support the HEI Curriculum and daily activities. Our spaces are a rich learning environment for children that include multiple opportunities for wondering, questioning, exploring, and experimenting. All spaces are multi-functional: designed to serve different purposes, functions, activities, and age groups. Children are active users and shapers of the spaces, and the rooms can and should be modified during the day by both adults and children.
